Under the circumstances of continuous expansion of production capacity in the lithium-ion battery anode material industry and increasing energy efficiency requirements, the production end has put forward higher demands for the stability and cost control capabilities of thermal equipment. Recently, the graphite precursor and lithium-ion battery anode material project has achieved a key progress - the tunnel kiln solid burner has been installed and debugged, and has officially entered the stage of pre-ignition preparation. 

This project uses needle coke, natural graphite and asphalt as the main raw materials to produce negative electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries. At the same time, it uses natural flake graphite as the raw material to produce graphite precursors. It is one of the key new energy material projects in the region. In the overall process, the carbonization process is the core环节, which has a decisive impact on the stability of the thermal system, temperature control accuracy and energy consumption level. And the tunnel kiln is the most critical high-energy-consuming equipment among them.

High energy consumption and stability cannot be achieved simultaneously in the baking process of traditional lithium battery anode materials. The following problems are commonly encountered:

First, the fuel utilization efficiency is not high, resulting in relatively high overall energy consumption;

Second, the temperature distribution inside the kiln is uneven, affecting product consistency;

Third, the equipment operation stability is insufficient, increasing maintenance costs and the risk of production suspension. 

These issues directly affect the production costs and product quality of the enterprises, and also become important factors restricting the further improvement of efficiency and cost reduction in the industry. 

Solution: Customized Tunnel Kiln Solid Burner System

To address the aforementioned challenges, this project adopted the tunnel kiln solid burner solution provided by Xi'an Ruitai. This system was specifically designed based on the characteristics of the carbonization process of lithium battery negative electrode materials, with a focus on enhancing combustion efficiency and system stability.

In terms of fuel adaptability, the burner can efficiently utilize solid fuels, achieve complete combustion, and reduce energy waste; in terms of structural design, it effectively improves the uniformity of kiln temperature, ensuring the stability of the carbonization process of graphite precursors and negative electrode materials. Meanwhile, this system has undergone enhanced design in terms of energy-saving control, which helps to reduce the energy consumption per unit product, thereby compressing production costs at the source.

Key milestone: Installation and testing completed, entering the ignition stage

After continuous construction and system debugging, the solid burner of the tunnel kiln has now completed all installation and testing work, and all operational indicators have met the expected requirements. The equipment is running smoothly overall, the control system responds normally, and ignition conditions have been achieved.

After ignition, the equipment will enter the actual production verification stage, which also marks a crucial step for the project to officially move from the construction phase to the production operation phase.

Expected outcomes: Promote cost reduction, quality improvement and large-scale production

With the official commissioning of the burner system, the project is expected to achieve improvements in multiple aspects:

Reduce energy consumption in the carbonization process and optimize the overall production cost structure

Improve the temperature control accuracy inside the kiln, enhance product consistency and quality stability

Improve equipment operational reliability and reduce unplanned downtime

Provide a stable guarantee for subsequent capacity release
