Bangladesh GPH Group Eco Ceramics Tunnel Kiln Solid Fuel Burner Project Case
I. Project Overview
Eco Ceramics is a subsidiary of the GPH Group in Bangladesh. As the largest building materials manufacturer in Bangladesh, the GPH Group has strong strengths, owning one of the top three cement manufacturing plants and the largest steel plant in the country, giving it significant industry influence and market position in the building materials sector. The new brick plant project of Eco Ceramics is an important step for the GPH Group to expand its footprint in the building materials field. Upon completion, the project will become a brick plant with large output and a high degree of industrialization in Bangladesh, filling the gap in local high-end sintered brick production and promoting the transformation of Bangladesh’s sintered brick industry toward automation, large-scale production, and high quality.
With mature overall solutions for fired brick production lines, extensive international project experience, and high-quality equipment and services, Xi’an Brictec Machinery (Brictec) successfully reached an in-depth cooperation with the GPH Group, undertaking the construction, management, and core combustion system supply for this brick plant project, helping the project achieve high-standard construction and efficient operation.

II. Project Scale and Product Plan
(I) Construction Scale
The full name of this project is the “Bangladesh GPH Daily Output of 200,000 Pieces Clay Sintered Brick Production Line Project.” The construction scale was determined through comprehensive multi-faceted论证 (analysis): considering market demand forecasts, equipment production capacity, the actual situation of the construction entity, and scale benefits, the final production capacity was set at 200,000 pieces per day (equivalent to sintered common bricks) of clay sintered bricks, placing the overall production capacity among the highest in Bangladesh.
This scale solution has significant advantages: it adopts an advanced two-stage firing process, equipped with an automatic loading and unloading system, single-layer drying in a tunnel dryer, and a pulverized coal fuel burner plus an internal-fired tunnel kiln. This fully utilizes the production potential of the equipment and site, optimizes the production process, reduces construction costs, and improves product quality. The equipment used is highly standardized and versatile, with low comprehensive energy consumption, enabling product quality optimization while balancing economic and social benefits.
(II) Product Plan
The project’s production line focuses on sintered common bricks, supplemented by sintered perforated bricks. It also has the flexibility to adjust product specifications and hole patterns by modifying some equipment parameters and raw materials according to market demand and user requirements, effectively enhancing market competitiveness and the enterprise’s economic benefits. III. Core Process and Equipment Configuration
The project adopts advanced production processes and equipment to build an automated, high-quality sintered brick production line. The core configuration is as follows:
Process configuration:
The project uses an advanced two-stage firing process. The drying section is equipped with an automatic rack loading/unloading system and a tunnel-type single-layer drying system, ensuring uniform drying and stable heating of green bricks, effectively reducing the probability of cracking and deformation, and improving the yield. The firing section uses two 4.8m cross-section tunnel kilns equipped with a fully automatic solid fuel (pulverized coal, petroleum coke) combustion system, achieving precise firing and ensuring stable product quality.
System advantages:
The entire brick manufacturing process has a high degree of automation and strong controllability. It can efficiently produce not only common sintered bricks but also high-grade bricks, achieving multiple product types and high quality, meeting the diverse needs of the Bangladesh building materials market.

IV. Project Feedback
In March 2019, the Xi’an Brictec project team officially entered the project site and jointly held a simple and solemn groundbreaking ceremony with the client, GPH Group, marking Brictec’s formal takeover of the entire project’s construction and management.

During project execution, relying on a professional technical team and mature project management experience, Brictec strictly followed project standards and schedule requirements, advancing construction, equipment installation, commissioning, and other tasks in an orderly manner, maintaining overall control over project quality and progress, and fully ensuring the smooth progress of the project.
