Bangladesh SAS Project Pulverized Coal Burner Case
I. Project Overview
The Bangladesh SAS Project (full name: Bangladesh SAS Project) is a major milestone for Xi’an Brictec (Brictec) in penetrating the South Asian building materials market. Undertaken in 2018, the project relies on Brictec’s mature overall solutions for sintered brick production lines to create a modern, automated brick plant with technology standards comparable to advanced European levels. This further consolidates Brictec’s industry influence in the Bangladeshi market and supports the local building materials industry’s transformation toward high-end, automated production.

The project focuses on large‑scale production of high‑quality hollow bricks, adopting a two‑stage firing pallet‑type tunnel drying process – a technology benchmarked against advanced European brickmaking standards. This breaks the limitations of traditional local brickmaking processes, greatly improving production efficiency and product quality. In addition, the fully automatic tunnel kiln and pallet‑type tunnel dryer enable automated control from raw material processing to finished product dispatch, demonstrating the core competitiveness of a modern brickmaking enterprise.

As a landmark project for Brictec in the Bangladeshi market, from process design and equipment selection to the construction of the tunnel kiln and dryer, all work was independently completed by Xi’an Brictec. With full control over project quality and schedule, and relying on professional technical strength and a complete service system, the project was successfully delivered, setting a benchmark for process upgrading in the local brickmaking industry.

II. Core Project Parameters and Equipment Configuration
Positioned around large scale, automation, and high quality, the project is equipped with an advanced tunnel kiln system and Brictec professional pulverized coal burners. The core configuration and production parameters are as follows:
Project name: Bangladesh SAS Project
Year of undertaking: 2018
Kiln type: Two tunnel kilns, using an all‑external‑fired combustion method. Scientifically designed with efficient firing, suitable for the two‑stage firing process requirements, ensuring uniform firing and stable quality of green bricks.
Drying system: Equipped with a pallet‑type tunnel dryer, combined with the two‑stage firing process, achieving uniform drying of green bricks, effectively reducing the probability of cracking and deformation, and improving the yield.
Production capacity: Designed daily output of 150,000 pieces; the overall capacity of SAS Ceramics can reach 160,000 pieces/day. Strong large‑scale production capability, fully meeting the demand for hollow bricks in the local Bangladeshi and surrounding regional markets.
Product specifications: Main product is 254×127×75 mm hollow bricks – regular appearance, standard strength, excellent sound and thermal insulation performance, widely applicable to building wall projects, and highly adaptable to market needs.
Combustion system configuration: Uses pulverized coal as fuel, equipped with Brictec solid fuel (pulverized coal) burners. A total of 16 burners are installed on the two tunnel kilns, offering high combustion efficiency and precise temperature control, suitable for all‑external‑fired tunnel kiln firing processes, balancing energy saving and environmental protection, meeting local Bangladeshi industrial production environmental requirements.
Automation configuration: Fully equipped with automated production equipment, including raw material processing equipment, extruders, automatic cutting and handling systems, rack loading/unloading systems, automatic packing equipment, etc. This realizes fully automated operations throughout the process, greatly reducing manual labor intensity, improving production efficiency, and ensuring product consistency.

III. Project Outcomes
The core advantages of this project lie in the advanced process technology and fully automated process control. The two‑stage firing pallet‑type tunnel drying process, comparable to advanced European brickmaking levels, has completely changed the low efficiency and unstable quality of traditional local brickmaking processes, achieving standardized and precise control of brick drying and firing.

During the construction phase, Xi’an Brictec fully utilized its technical and engineering strengths, independently completing the entire process from design to equipment selection to construction, strictly following international engineering standards, overcoming various challenges such as the local construction environment and logistics, and ensuring the successful implementation of the project. The stable configuration of Brictec’s 16 pulverized coal burners provides core thermal support for the all‑external‑fired tunnel kiln firing, not only achieving full combustion of pulverized coal with energy savings and consumption reduction but also ensuring uniform kiln temperature, guaranteeing consistent color and high quality of the hollow brick products.

As another milestone project for Xi’an Brictec in the Bangladeshi market, the successful delivery of the SAS project not only demonstrates Brictec’s core strength in providing overall solutions for sintered brick production lines but also promotes the integration of local brickmaking technology with international advanced levels, supporting the transformation and upgrading of Bangladesh’s building materials industry. At the same time, the project further expands the influence of the Brictec brand in the South Asian market, laying a solid foundation for further deep cultivation in Bangladesh and the surrounding South Asian region, as well as for deepening international cooperation.
