Hunan Xiangxiang Xinqiang Natural Gas Burner Project Case

I. Project Overview

Xiangxiang Xinqiang Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. was founded in 2019. Its business scope includes solid waste treatment, brick and tile manufacturing and sales, as well as the sale of building materials and refractory materials. The project is located in Dongjiao, Xiangxiang City, Hunan Province.

With a total investment of RMB 40 million, the project relies on existing land, production facilities, and raw materials such as shale, low‑sulfur coal, and lithium‑containing waste. Through processes including solid waste mixing, forming, drying, and firing, the project achieves brick and tile production while simultaneously improving environmental protection facilities. These include the construction of enclosed production workshops and the installation of electrostatic precipitators and desulfurization & denitrification equipment, meeting Hunan Province’s requirements for cleaner production and air pollution prevention and control in the industrial sector. The project has an annual capacity of 67 million (equivalent standard) shale bricks and the ability to co‑process 40,000 tons/year of lithium‑containing materials, achieving the integrated utilization of solid waste resources and brick and tile production.

II. Core Configuration and Cooperation

To meet the demands of cleaner production and large‑scale manufacturing, the company purchased Xi’an Brictec (Brictec) tunnel kiln natural gas burners in 2024, which are used in the firing stage of the tunnel kiln. The specific configuration is as follows:

• Burner configuration: A total of 16 sets of natural gas burners, including 4 sets of automatic ignition burners. These are adapted to the clean combustion requirements of natural gas, offering easy operation and stable performance.

• Application value: The natural gas burners, together with the environmental protection treatment facilities, reduce pollutant emissions during combustion, helping the project meet local environmental control requirements. At the same time, they provide stable thermal support for shale brick firing, ensuring orderly production.

III. Project Significance

This project achieves the comprehensive utilization of solid waste resources, not only expanding the source of raw materials but also practicing the concept of green production. It aligns with Hunan Province’s policy direction of promoting industrial cleaner production and strengthening joint air pollution prevention and control. The commissioning of Xi’an Brictec natural gas burners provides reliable support for the project’s clean and efficient production, helping the enterprise achieve a virtuous cycle of solid waste co‑processing and brick and tile production on the basis of compliant production, further promoting local renewable resource utilization and the green transformation of the building materials industry.
